i just watched pride and prejudice on oxygen, and now i'm watching the empire strikes back on spiketv. just doing my part to screw with the idea of gender-specific tv networks.

Someone out there loves me

Oh, Madeleine L'Engle. I cried when you died. Your books made my life so much better.  And when I get this box full of books that I have pre-ordered, I fully intend to sit on my butt and re-read all five of them immediately.

(Seriously, when they did that tv adaptation of A Ring of Endless Light - only my favorite and most-read YA novel of all time, of which I will soon have three copies - starring Mischa Barton and Jared Padalecki, something inside of me died.)

of late:

- blackberry lemonade
- i am finally knitting a sweater, after a few years of ashamedly saying, "i don't know" whenever people saw me knitting and asked if i could make sweaters. i have just added the sleeves. sleeves! it's a real sweater and not just a blob of grey yarn!
- just three more shifts at work
- outside lands was tootootoo fantastic
- dexter and the x-files

okay, now i'm going to go read some stephen king. yes, you read right. stephen king.
